Ok, I'm soon to start bagging my truck (1994 Ext. Cab) and I need to know how to raise my gas tank so it won't drag. Pictures would be GREATLY appreciated. or if someone will explain it. I just want to raise it. I don't wanna relocate it or anything, just raise it up a few inches so it won't touch the ground.

Thanks!

I made new cross members to support it. Very easy. I just laid the truck out and put some 1.5" tube under the tank and made mounts.

looking at your profile you haven't done your notch yet correct?? make your new mounts when you get your notch in. it will be less work in the long run.

I used some 1/4 plate and 3/16 wall 1" square tubing. Just make sure it has plenty of support. Even though the tanks hold roughly 14gal, its the momentum of the fuel that will bend or break your braces.

The other thing you can do is flip the flange onto the top side of the cross member and put some spacers in it. Then build a new rear cross member, or raise the stock one.
