Anyone know of a company that makes silicone radiator hoses for the 22r motors? Samco used to but they discontinued them several years due to lack of request.

Or has anyone succesfully heated silicone tubing and bent them ?

Hose Techniques is who I have gotten silcone from for the Mustang and my Celica. Most companies don't go back that far to the 22r era. I'm sure there are some hoses that would fit but that would be a straight up pain in the ass and not worth the time or the money of searching for the right hoses.

Thanks for the links though.

I talked to Samco today, they said they could make me some if I send them my old ones.

Would anyone else be interested in a set? amybe we could get like a group buy or something.

what are they? whats the bennifit of running a silicone hose versus a rubber one? ive always wanted to do braided hoses but those fuckers are expensive.

silicone isn't that much cheaper. the benefits of silicone would be, high heat (470+), high burst (300psi) and cool look to the engine bay. I'm sure there is more but those are the things I could think of.

Depending on the price I'm down for a set would it be the upper lower and the bypass hose that comes off the metal line? Would like a set of heater hoses as well

yup one upper and 2 lower and then it would be one for the bypass and then everything else would be straight line.

As I had been told the other day one set would be around $310. If I would have say maybe 10 sets it could drop to about $225-250. The stuff is pricey but its nice. Color options would be black, carbon blue and red. The guy I spoke with said the price isn't set in stone, he would have to see how many and how difficult the bends would be and the amount of material needed to make the hoses. So the price could actually be cheaper in the end.

Alright now we have to get some more people on board would the order be the same if the colors were different? You have some old hoes? I could get some from Carquest or something if you need them the only bad thing is sometimes they have to be trimmed a little cause they are to long pisses me off when I 'm doing a job at work
