pressure switch problem

I have a new viar pressure switch that that has built in relay and is constant power through my distribution block for my stereo and in to my ignition for on/off and just before it reaches its cut off point(150 psi) the compressor sputters and i get bad static in my speakers,is it from being wired in the dist. block or is the pressure switch bad?
