Well ive started workin on my truck, and as you can tell from the render i made i want to do a body drop. Heres my dilemma. i'm wondering if i should do a stock floor or a traditional. i'm a large guy, and i look almost akward in the little ranger as it is, so im leanin towards the stock floor. are there are pro's or con's for doing it one way or the other? if i do the stock floor then i've got another decission. new frame firewall back, or should I just chop my frame in half length wise and box it?

DO not chop it in half and box it PLEASE, The frames are weak as it is, Im sorry nobody replied sooner but Im here now Traditional is much easier, Less time and work involved, How much are you wanting to go? Only downside is the sheetmetal wall when you get in your truck, Honestly headroom is minimal loss especially in an ext cab... If I were doing it, I would go traditional, A lot less to mess up, And I dunno your fab skills, But I dont see myself building a new frame anytime soon lol!! good luck man and great render, I saw a truck exactly like it in a video.. Looks good man!

actually i think i have decided on doing a stock floor. my fab skillz are not premium, but i plan on taking my dear sweet time in doing this, so i'm confident i can do it.

as far as the rear goes i'm planning on something similar to the pic i have below, but its going to be alot cleaner. im gonna be running hardlines instead of rubber, and of course it will all be 2"x3" instead of goin to 2"x2" off the factory frame like in the picture

Theres absolutely no reason to cut the floor and do a traditional body drop. the easiest way is to cut the small part of the frame that hangs below the body and plate the hell out of it. You can also just do some 2x3 and it will be strong as hell.

why lose all that headroom? Theres not much in the Ranger to start with.
