I was on minitruckinweb.com and i seenthe tech article for baggin a ranger and notching the frame, well it wasalready cut out to the middle why did they put in a half piece of tubing for a stop wouldnt they want more clearnace if it was goin to run a bigger rim in front? Here i the link

if i rember correctly, alices truck was set up for 20s, you really shouldnt need more notch then that.

here was the caption on this picture: "It's a common practice to notch the front lower framerail for steering clearance when 'bagging a Ranger. This Ranger had been notched by simply whacking out a section of frame, with no support to back it up. We'll be changing that straightaway."

i cut that box striaght thru and welded in a piece of box tubing to brace it

i woudlnt recomend cuting out the whole box them welding up the whole thing. cut it out lay the truck out and mark how high the tie rod comes up then go bout 1/2 in above it and box in from there. to much isnt always good, cuz if you did that there would only be 2 in of frame left there fi you were in a front end collision.
