ok lately i havent been doing much offroading, and i everytime i go i break something, i drive a 91 ford explorer 4x4

but i want to make it 2wd, and have it 3" under stock hieght, i want to do this by adding beams and leaf springs, that way the ride shouldnt be that bad, and itll look good with the 18" rims an the 27" tires.
how hard is it to change on the front 4x4 parts for 2wd ones? i know to complete the 4x4 to 2wd i need to get a new tranny, but i think ill just leave that one till it blows up
anyone have pictures of explorer or rangers lowered 3" or 4"?
