lowering motor for stock floor body drop

i want to stock floor my truck 3"...i want to keep my stock hood without cutting holes in it or puttign a cowl on it...anybody have any good ways of lowering the motor?

what motor? i know on my buddies 96 4.0 were gona have to lower the motor 1.5 in to clear a stock hood.

3.0 but my compressor hangs out pretty high...i had to trim some barcing under the hood already...i know how i can lower it but i am worried about the i beam mount goign lower too and not being able to get it aligned right.
