engine swap

Hey so i have a 86 mazda b2000 and my motor is done so i found a 1990 b2200 will this motor just drop right into my truck. They are both standard trans as well

Yes. Some would actually swap the B2000 rockers (mechanical lifters) into the B2200 engine (hydraulic lifters) to keep the engine quieter. Earl and others have done this.

Most will also tell you to put the 2000 cam in with the mechanical rockers, to eliminate a tick that cannot be adjusted out of the 2200 hydraulic cam, when used with mechanical rockers.

I've done the swap in reverse. Just remember that the front end timing parts are not that same between the two. Otherwise, they're nearly identical.
