I believe 192 is OEM stock. You should be able to find one just about anywhere.

190, 192, 195, all the same thing, aftermarket usually have 160 / 180 / 195 / 205. 195 seems to be OEM temp for most vehicles, although, I have been seeing 180 as OEM on alot of newer vehicles. OEM on my rotary motor is 180 too. OEM on the B2200 and B2000 motors is 195.

Not to be a SA but if they are all the same thing why didn't the OEM use all the same value/temp? Why do they specify one versus another?

OK, I meant the 195 F Stant thermostat. Sorry. Big difference in heat output over the 180 F.

I see the stock being 195 F.

I will report from Arizona desert experience: neither 180 F or 160 F thermostats will prevent your truck from running hot if your radiator gets to the replacement point; and neither will running without a thermostat, as all those thermostats will be fully open by the point that the full exchange of heat is required.. These days, few radiator shops, and seems less expensive to go to a new 2-row radiator when its time comes.

Each manufacturer probably has different ratings. I used to work at a parts store that carried Stant, and that is what all of their heat ranges were (160/180/195/205). I am sure there is at least a 5 degree margin of error on any thermostat. The difference between 192 and 195 is probably because one is rated in Celsius, and converted to Fahrenheit, and the other is rated in Fahrenheit, and converted to Celcius

I just replaced mine with a factory 192 deg. Along with draining, flushing, and filing my cooling system with fresh 50/50 coolant. My gauge runs a few needle widths below half way consistently.

I did this because now that it's winter my truck wouldn't get warm enough. And Now it warms up quickly, runs better, and gets better milage. It was a win win win for me and the B.

I also recommend the fail safe thermostat's sold at auto zone for sure.It cost a touch more but in the event a issue kicks up it will not stick closed.I run the 195 just for the share.
