need a drivers door latch.. have it tied shut with rope... also wondering why the clutch whines sometimes when i push it in and it is near impossible to shift.. then release, pump it and it'll work fine again..
1. Whining/noise when you push in the clutch is typically indicative of a bad throwout bearing.
2. Tough shifting is often because of bad clutch master and clutch slave cylinders, they don't seem to be too "sturdy" over time on these trucks. I've had my '88 B2200 19 years this month, and replaced both several times. Your choice whether to go quality factory replacements or the lifetime warrantied ones. Luckily, these are not too difficult at all to replace. But also check the two flexible clutch lines for leaks (I've had one leak).
