b2000/b2200 are all 8 valve from the factory

As above 1600/1800/ 2000/2200 are 8 valve. 2600i is 12 valve.

I have done cams on quite a few B2200's going back to the 90's - all from the same guy - Shadbolt cams in vancouver BC
He has a couple of excellent cams for these motors and with just cam and headers on a stock truck it makes a huge difference, I have never like that when porting heads you lose torque almost every time in these motors.
If doing a cam, it is a good time to do the solid lifter mod too.
