The tail lights are on order, should be here next week.

I got the Ghost Lights with a little help from Jason on this forum.

Here are the lights.

Ok, that makes sense. Very cool idea. Again, look forward to the end result of this build.

Ok, I'm a little closer now, but not where I thought I would be. I acutally read the instructions on the Lord Fusior, and the cure time is 24 hours.

Which turned out to be fine as its too cold to paint today, it never got out of the 40's and my activator for the paint is ment to work around 50-60 deg.

Here is what I got done. I hope the flares look good {and stay put} mashed into the fender where the gap runs.

First I used a knife to cut a cross hatch pattern in the flares.

Then put the flare on the fender, and taped it off.

Then using my new epoxy gun, and guys this thing works great, I added the LF to the underside of the flares, and top of the fender {which I etched yesterday}. Then clamped down the parts with gaps, and now to let it cure.

I guess I'll pray again to Klaus Nomi for my flares to bond tightly, and not come off in plus 100 mph driving.......

Not sure how much Klaus knows about Lord Fusior but it certianly can't hurt. Looks like you did pretty good on your prep so it should bond pretty good.

"and not come off in plus 100 mph driving.......", now why would you go and do that? Speed limit is only 65

Lol, good one. I don't know if ol Klaus knows or has even met Lord Fusior, but I figured asking him wouldn't hurt.

I just checked the flares and they seem pretty tight. That is if I can keep from messing with them every hour or so.

I learned something VERY interesting on one of the body work forums.

I asked how best to fill a gap between the body line, and fender flare. I drew an arrow pointing to the gap, and then another line around the flare so I could see where to add the LF with the flare off.

The guys there on that forum said NOT to mark the body before paint with any marker as it will show though the paint!!!! I didn't know that, but since I'm painting it all black there shouldn't be an issue.

If it's sharpie there's a good chance it will bleed through the paint. We get used parts from salvage yards at the shop and that yellow marker they use is terrible. You almost have to strip that area down to bare metal to get rid of it all.

I'm close to Oxford.

That would really suck to have a great paint job, then take it out in the sun, and go "whats that funny line around the wheel wells"?!!!

This arrived last week.

Everyone look close at the flasher. I was wondering if there is one like this at the local autoparts store? This flasher cost $50 so if there was one I could buy cheaper in the future I would.
