Ok well cool ill test my ignition and break the carb open and clean that. See if that does anything.
Do you guys know where the timing should be? My book does a horrible job of explaining how to time the truck.

6 BTDC, vacuum line to distributor plugged so there's no advance from that. Any vacuum leak will cause the advance to move around from where it should be.

After countless hours of troubleshooting i finally figured out that my coil>dizzy wire wasnt making good contact in the coil.... So from yesterday forward im now never saying "oh it couldnt be that i just replaced it 4 months ago." But shes runnin better than before this happend with all the maintence i did!

Was that poor connection due to a 5-udder rubber boot on the distributor? I seem to remember mine had that, and I couldn't readily tell whether the wires were fully seated (and we have very little rain issues here) so I ditched that.
