Yeah that write up has been around for ages.
The 302 swap is an awesome swap as well...still think about ti from time to time my self.
I swapped in the Bongo 1.8L 12 valve engine. All the electronics were already done, so all I did was unbolt my engine, drop in the new one, hook up the hoses, and installed the electric fan and HP fuel pump. Still need to hook it up to the PC some time to adjust the tuning for my hot butt Summer time climate, (the engine came from Canada, so it's tuned for Canadian weather). I think the Tuner Studio software will help me do it easily...once I get the balls to mess with it. Great little motor that I could turbo eventually if I desire. Still consider the 302 swap though
Well, I have sat in the back ground for 3 months and Whalla-poof my swap is almost complete. I bought a 87 B2200 and a 99 Sportage. I have the engine in and running. Just need to strip un-used circuits from KIA harness. I am working on interior now. Just found some seats from a 91 extended cab 2200.
