ok i dont know if i spelled that right and incase you dont know what im talking about let me explain.. SOMETIMES when i drive my truck for a while when i go to turn it off it acts like it is trying to restart itself.. it almost dies and then sounds like it gets fuel again and trys to start back up.. sounds like shit and only does it sometimes.. what the hell is the problem.. i have a 2.2 carb has a weber on it.. i only run mid or high grade gas and always put a fuel additive in it.. other then that the motor is strong and runs very good.. like i said only does this sometimes.. tell me how to fix this please..

Combination of rich idle mixture and higher than needed idle speed. Many older carbed vehicles had a small solenoid for an idle speed stop/adjustment - when the ignition was turned off, the solenoid collapsed and effectively closed the throttle plates. Engine stopped every time.

Not all carbs / engines need them but my guess, in your case is a lower idle speed and slightly leaner mixture will solve your problem.

Will probably have to get back to you with some pics. Kinda hard explaining with text only. A pic of a Weber would be useful about right now, LOL
