Here is the message I sent you:

I agree the advance must be fixed, I am planning on doing what you said and disasembleing the distributor when I get back from snowboarding. However I did stop by the Mazda here in town and talked to one of the older more experianced mechanics there who looked at it, and he says he would almost guarentee it is the solenoid in the carb, possibly a result of the 02 sensor. He described how to disconect it, and use a screw that is currently pinned to adjust the air fuel mixture manually. I think this is worth a try. I've already ordered a new advance, as i'm sure mine is leaking. As soon as his is fixed I will try what he talked about, undoing a small wire pug on the carb, that he said controlled the solenoid and manually adjusting it. Hope the combo of tese two tings gets me a substantial amount more power as well as getting rid of my surgeing.

any idea what it should read? What would happen to a properly running truck if you just disconected the 02 sensor? They are not very expensive to replace

Nooo, I wanna test it lol. At idle it seems to make no difference when I unplug the 02 sensor

bringing up an old thread instead of starting a new one. did you guys figure this out?

i went on a half hour drive today to have a guy take some measurements for a little notch for the truck. lost my clutch fluid. added brake fluid and its good again but will look tomorrow at it. anyways on the way back i will give it gas and it has a big hesitation all of a sudden. i bought the truck about a month ago now, old owner looks like it had new plugs and distributor. fuel filter most likely then? i will push the pedal to the floor and wont go any faster what so-ever. let me know what u guys think.
