poof it stops running while driving

You know where the ignition switch is though, right?

Ignition switch is looked under my dash,just next to my hood release. The two wires i touch together to start the truck!!

And i knew you where joking. i know the basic's of a engine and my first mazda and it won't be my last.

Well dang it happen again tonight on my way home running around 55MPH and poof it just shut down and then backed fired. I drove it off to the side(all electrical working fine). I let it set there for a few min. and it started right back up,went and put it in 1st and i tried to go and it died. Sat there again and then tried to start it up,And then i had no problem!!!
Sounds like a vac. leak!

fuel,air and spark= truck runs.Not vacuum leak,that just causes truck to run badly.There is a black postage stamp sized igniter in the dist.Sounds like that may be failing.if truck stops at the same place or same miles from home every day,that sounds like a fuel delivery problem.May be the "sock"filter in your tank is clogged with rust.It floats off when truck isnt running and recolllects when truck is started.also may be temperature related,when truck gets hot something electrical breaks down like the coil. check the sight glass on the drivers side of the carb and be sure there isnt a bunch of trash in the carb as well. bj
