pre 85 swaps

hey guys just wonderin what the EASY swap possibilities are? i have the 2.3l.. will the 2.3l fi ranger/mustang motor swap in?? thats the only thing i can think of.. the dual spark plug one, my buddy has one and his is pretty quick for a truck..

well i guess im gunna have to try this swap and tell you what happens lol

fellow down in Florida swapped a 2.3 Merkur turbo engine into an 86 Bseries and it was a screamer so I know it can be done.He sold the truck to someone up in Delaware and I havent heard from it in a long time,but theres a start for u.If u want to go real exotic,I haVE SEEN vOLVO TURBO 2.4 liter engines in B series as well.bj

yeah i know the possibilties lol, but i was thinkin more on the line of bolt right in swaps.. i figured id buy an old ranger with that motor and see what happens from there..

if u do drop the 2.3 in,consider solid motor mounts if u r going to drive it hard.bj

yeah i was thinkin about the mounts too... also i was readin up on this and im thinkin it may be a direct bolt in, not sure about the trans but this is the same motor as the mustang 2, and people put 2.3l fi in them.. so im pretty sure it should swap right in, the only mod i can think would be a ranger inline fuel pump... sound right to anyone so far?? i think maybe a ranger trans matched with it would be real nice?!?!? maybe swap a newer b2000 rear end?? im not plannin on baggin it but i do want to slam it.. oh i noticed it has springs on front.. should i cut them?
