well since my trucks smokin more and more, never use that "gaurenteed to pass emissions junk" or its just a coincidence that my motor started to smoke more afterwards. if you guys havent read, my trucks like drinking oil ... its bad... but now shes smokin like crazy..

but i found this company on ebay,

J.I.S. Engine

1-888-482-4734

4-5 days to rebuild a block, 3 for shipping to me,

2.2 longblock

800.00 motor

400.00 core charge

200.00 shipping to me

(i know the add shows a 2.0 but i called they will do a 2.2 also same price)

anything good or bad from them? i assume u guys would know best?

i'm so close to charge'n it.. its embarassing now driving my dam truck

any other places cheaper? any input would be most appreciated..

Thanks,
Alex

If your willing to wait a little like a week or so, I'd sell you my engine. Completely rebuilt and has a Weber 32/36 with a pacesetter header and MSD ignition, etc.

Less than 15,000 miles on it. Runs like a friggin champ!

I would probably sell for about $1400 too, which is cheap considering the things done to it...

Had it rebuilt by a buddy's dad who owned his own shop. He charged me $1100.

you can take your bottom end to a good machine shop and they will do it for about 500 bucks just a thought

Alex, call the Arlington Texas Better Business Bureau; see if there are outstanding complaints against them, how many, and how they resolved them, maybe there's a rating, maybe JIS is a member.
