It is done just like you say and sprayed down w carb cleaner and cant find any leaks. the choke works like it should, press pedal to floor it comes on and then touch gas and it goes off. Could it be anything with the vac advance? maybe.

It now just has a problem coming off of idle but once you get past that point it will rev up normal.

Wait... so on a cold day, you can start the truck with the choke and it will run. It will still run after disenaging the choke at idle as well? It just won't wind up thereafter?

I need to know when it is spitter-spattering hub buggin down on you.

I would take a look at your jets and make sure there is'nt any crap in them..

On the carb where the fuel line goes into the carb there should be a hex plug that you unscrew and it has a fuel filter. Make sure your other fuel filter is clean as well..

Well I havent got to work on it till today and I checked the fuel lines and tank and replaced filter, Got a gauge and checked the fuel pressure it is all good checked timing again and went a tooth both ways with no help I checked the floats and jets with no help.

It bogs out any time you hit the gas hard but if you ease the gas on it will rev up but any time you gap it it will bog out and die if you stay on it please help i am at my wits end

Do you have an exhaust? When I ran an open header it would bog when I floored it cause of no back pressure.

IT HAS AN EXHAUST BUT IT HAS A HOLE IN THE MUFFLER IF THAT MATTERS

I messed with it today and found out that when the mixture screw is all the way in it runs good and almost completly get rid of the bog off of idle. It still has a miss up in the rpms when in gear, but I actually got to take it down the road. Does this mean the idle jets are wrong?

i just read this post for the first time and it sounds like the same problem im having with my 2600 but mine is fuel injected. ive timed it three or four times, changed the fuel filter i know ive got pressure, i just havent tuned it up yet any ideas as to what would be giving me the same problem
