i epoxy'ed mine back on cuz it didn't exactly break OFF. it kinda pulled out. but if it doesn't hold, can i block that off?

I would think that it is pressed in? You could use a easy out to get the broke off peice out then press a new one in. Other thing you could do is go up in hose size drill it out and tap it for a pipe fitting.

oh ok. from what i read online, it lets water circulate through the engine without having to go through the radiator, and it blocks off once the engine gets warm.

so with it blocked, the engine will just take longer to warm up but wont be affected on the freeway once the engine is warm?

Just watch the temp guage.if its getting too hot shut her down.Don't need to blow a head gasket.

haha thats the problem, my temp gauge isn't working. i replaced the sender AND the sensor. and it still doesn't work so i just gave up cuz i'm not gonna go through all teh wiring.
