coolant leak plz help

how did u get the hose on the side of the water pump off. im trying to get mine but that side hose (i guess its a hose, I cant see it) wont come off, and on the new pump, it just looks like it would slip in.

ya some hoses are a b*tch to get off. i was gonna replace all of mine but some just wouldn't come off so i skipped them, idk why they do that. also, some slip right off but then they are almsot imposible to get bakc on...

it looks like its connected to the pump but it isnt so i didnt touch it
