Hey I got a 1986 Mazda B2000 im bagging the front at the moment and just got my drop spindles. I know I have to cut the bump out of the lca and make it flat for the balljoint provided , is it true I need to run a 16 inch rim or bigger or is that just for static dropped

For drop spindles you need to run a 16" or bigger wheel for clearance issues.

I was told 15 " pathys would fit with no weights what if I ran a bigger side wall tire

What's the wheel size 6 lug X 5.5? Or 139.7 mm I believe

The reason you have to run a bigger rim is the arm on the drop spindle where the tie rod end bolts is low so it keeps the steering geometry happy. The mazda pattern is 6x5.5 or 139.7mm

I had drop spindles and bags with Pathies on my gray truck. You are correct, with no tire weights on the inside lip, they worked just fine.
