Hi there, I am looking to upgrade my torsion bar to something stiffer. I suspect that one bar is worn out and is softer than the other one. Every time I drove over a dip the steering wheel pulls to the right. The car has already been aligned, ride height leveled and the shocks are new on all corners. I am wondering if the b2600 4wd bars would fit on the b2200 rwd? Thank you for your input.

I went to Jim Ellis online http://www.jimellismazdaatlanta.com/online-parts-ordering.htm and it looks like the torsion bars for both the 2200 2wd and 2600 4wd are the same. They use the same part number.

Not true. I put the 4x4 torsions on my V8 truck. They are definitely stiffer!
When pulling them from a donor truck, you need the bars(obviously), cups on the a-arms, and the adjusters, as the splines are larger than the 2wd bars.

I went back to the Jim Ellis website to verify what I found in my research and checked on a 1988 B2200 2wd and got this image:

and then checked it against the image for a 1988 B2600 4 wd and got this image:

And from the parts diagram the part numbers show the same, so there isn't anything untrue about my research. Maybe there is something wrong with the parts catalog, but maybe it would have been better for you to have posted your information before I went to the work to try to help the question.

It doesn't matter where the misinformation came from. They are different parts. The shafts and splines are larger. As a result, all of the parts mentioned in my last post will still need to be changed as a set, or sets.
