raised fuel tank questions

hi all im currently baggin the rear of my b2200 std cab short bed and im building a 3 link and want to keep my tank in the same location due to the truck painted already and i didnt shave the fuel door i know i wanna raise it up but does anyone have pics of this or the process of this i welded box tubing running from inner frame rail to inner frame rail to mount my upper link but now it hits the fuel tank just wanna know what people do i could notch the bar, or dent in the tank but really dont wanna do that all help would be appreciated i will get pics up sooon thanks

when i did this to my truck i took and where the tank mounts on the front and put it on something to rise it up..had to flatin the tank a little to make room but not that much..then made a new mount for the rear of the tank
