BACKFIRING OUT THE CARB

hey guys.. she heres the sccop
i have spark i have fuel i have air.. the truck will not start and i cant figure out why.. im gettng mjor and some times fire out of my carb when i press down on the gas pedal..
any ideas where i should start looking???//?

backfire can be caused by choke not shutting off completely, also could have a bad distributer cap, bad spark plugs, bad ignition condensor, bad plug leads, or to much fuel getting to carb

your timming could also be 180 degrees out
