? on safety switch

hello all quick question on a problem im having on my 86 b2000 2.0L question is the truck starts in gear and without pressing the clutch and i can also try and start it while its in gear is there a clutch switch or would it be the neutral safety switch and if it is where is it thanks

Most likely a bad clutch pedal switch. I've got one for sale in my list of stuff for sale:

I agree that the clutch pedal switch is likely to be the issue. It's a "normally open" switch, and pressing the pedal "closes" the circuit. So it's likely stuck in the "closed" position.
