ok, so i finally found a motor. which i desperately needed. except for the new one is a tbi and my old one was carb'd...is that gonna be hard?

You can swap your carb and intake to the 2.2 motor.

haha i was being a smartass. there are efi engines but no tbi engines. electronic fuel injection on these engines are direct port injection. TBI engines are throttle body injected. huge difference.

What did the replacement powerplant come out of?
What engine did you have that is now broken.
Even though I have a truck that says B-2000 on the side, the only thing under the hood that is original is maybe the motor mounts, carburetor, and distributor. The 2.0 block went away a long time ago.
So i have a reason for asking these kinds of questions about 20+ year old machinery.

oh my bad. in my truck now i have a 2.0l carb'd engine. the new engine is out of an 87 b2200 which is a 2.2l. i want to put the new one in my truck.

everything will bolt up just fine. you just have to wire it all up.
