ac vent

Does anyone know how to change out the passenger side ac vent without pullin the dash.... i dont see it possible. these vents have been notorious for breakin on every mazda ive had...

You answered your own question. You can get the old one out without taking the dash out (dismantling it piece by piece) but you'll not be installing the new one without removing the dash. You can't access the screws on the back... Dan

Well, on the passenger side, it MIGHT be possible. You will probably need to loosen the bolts that hold the dash on the side, remove the glove box, and with small enough hands you can possibly get it out.

All the bolts need to be removed, but the dash does not need to come out.

The reason to remove all the bolts is to allow you to move the passenger side out far enough to get behind.
Without pulling the dash completely, you'll only get it to move about a foot or so from the windshield, but it is doable!
