Wow not sure how i missed this one.... but just read the whole thing. Awsome truck and love the detail work. Why not go a 347 insted of the 302? Cost not much diff and lots more bang for the buck. Will you chassis dyno it or just engine? Also will you try the stock rear or just go right with the ford? At any rate bad a$$ ride man!

Nope. I haven't heard from them, and there wasn't really anything to take pictures of the last time I stopped by. They are finished with assembling the heads, but that's about as far as they got, I think.

I'll be at SEMA this week, so hopefully it will be ready when I get back. I seriously doubt it, though.

Thanks for the compliments.

I chose the 302 just because of the massive amount of community support and the availability of stock parts. All of the parts are bought, so there's no changing now.

Yes, it will be chassis dyno'ed to get it tuned in just right.

I'm probably going to try the stock rear at first. I want to match the width of the a-arms to the width of the rear axle, and I'm just not ready to do the arms and coilovers yet. That's a whole other project. Hopefully the stock rear will hold up for a while. I'll have to drive it in granny mode until I get the 8.8 in.

since your doing all this work, i would make it look like a trophy/prerunner, that would be BADASS

Just for S&G if you dyno with the stock rear then once you swap to the 8.8 dyno again just to see what the diff is between the 2. It is amazing how weight makes a diff to the rear wheels.

Yeah, that would be an interesting comparison between the stock rear and the 8.8 on a dyno. I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for checking out the Jeep thread. It's at Blue Torch Fab now and we have basically taken off everything that I had done to it before. It's going to be a much more radical build now. I have no idea where it will end up at this point.

My latest project is "The Weasel". ,103762.0.html

I've decided, or at least I think so at this point, to sell the Jeep once it's done. I just have way too much money tied up into it. I just can't justify taking a $40k vehicle up and down the rocks. I'm sure some can, just not me.

If your planning on keeping the stock rear for awhile you should thing about swapping out the 3rd member for a lsd from a 86-88 rx7. Might help keep it together.

I'm going to look at it like I looked at the stock 2.6L. When it breaks, God means for it to be upgraded.
