The tweed headliner is very cozy compared to the old dirty vinyl headliner. It's strange... Such a minor little piece, but a major difference in the overall "feel" of the truck.

Now I want to get my seats redone...

it sucks that the paint burnt like that from the tires but the headliner looks awesome

yeh i was afraid of that. be carefull how much you let it rub like that because it will soon wear the sidewall out and give a balloon affect and then give out.

ive been looking to do my headliner in suede and have the material. just haven't got around to it cuz someone told me the rear window has to be taken out because the headliner is tucked under it. just wondering how exactly you got it out and i know that theres rods holding it up in the middle. plus i also have a standard cab.

She just used the measurements from the old one... Pretty simple, really.

Yes, you need to take the rear window out. Very simple - just start in a corner, pull the rubber seal down, and push. Work it slowly, and it will come out.

Honestly, removal of the headliner is very self explanatory once you get the trim pieces removed...

Putting the window back in is just as easy. Wrap a piece of rope around it, in the seal channel. Set the window in place, with the bottom and one side of the seal in place. Slowly pull the rope out of the channel (from the inside of the truck), until the entire rope is out of the channel and the seal is completely seated.

That would force me to spend $20 on another new set of runflats .

It's good to know a BMW tech...
