thanks guys. and no the wires are going away, anyone want them. haha.

when i get it put back together i will see what it is. thanks nytrdr.

i need some thoughts on this...i want to go ahead and bodydrop her, but should i bodydrop her before or after i bag her and lay her on the ground? and about how far is it to the rocker? i am guessing you just measure from the bottom of the frame to the rocker and that is how far it is? i have never done anything this big and this is the first truck i will ever build by myself so it is going to be exciting! i am a little nervous but cant wait to start cutting and welding.

Bodydrop it first, that way so that when your bagging it you know exactly what has to be modified or cut instead of guessing where things will be after its body drop. Thats just my opinion anyways. I think its 2-1/4" to the rocker. Are you planning on doing a traditional body drop or SFBD?

thanks man. i plan on a sfbd. got to really research it now. i think i have it pretty much figured out. i wish i could see some pics to really see the difference between the traditional bd and the sfbd.

they have a tech article in mini truckin this month about doing a body drop i just glanced at the pics. but it looks like they chaneled the floor like the old hot roders used to do.

yeah i have that issue. but i don't want to channel the floor like that cause i want to keep the stock bench seat and i don't think it will work like that. could be wrong though.

i don't know either i like the way body drops look but it seems to be one of those projects i would get halfway through and be like "i don't want to do this anymore". lol you could always just mount the seat to the chanels but i bet it would punch you in the balloon knot every time you hit a bump.

twould be my suggestion that since your gonna body drop it, to pull the cab set it aside, get the suspension the way you want layin frame, and then go at the body drop......reason i say this is, your gonna have some extensive frame / suspension work going on in the front with the bags, & in the rear to mount the irs, also it will give you a chance to give the frame a nice bath/cleaning/paint /rust prevention since it is pretty old.......also, if you did the b/d first, once you got it to lay, who knows, you may have to end up cutting more out after you got it done, and that would sux......
