It amazes me how strong these little motor's are. The trannys are junk though.

I wouldn't mind rebuilding the actual motor and boring it over and such but the trannys are junk there's no way around it.

Those could swap, I don't know if the motor mounts are the same....

I wouldn't mind getting that motor, rebuilding it and turboing it. But finding the actual motor is the key.

The 2.3 has different frame mounts. you have to find a courier and cut them out. But it's not like we can't fab new mounts. The aftermarket is very strong for the 2.3s, also.

There's 2.3s everywhere. Rangers, pintos, old mustangs. My dad has one with an auto just sittin there. If it wasn't cammed up I'd think about dropping it in. But fuel economy is a major thing I'm wanting.
