How to remove dash?

Well its 90% done but there still seams to be something behind the heater control area holding the dash in place. cant figure this out


here is a very crude ms paint drawing of what i have removed

Did you disconnect the two cables that run from the fan and temp control to the side of the heater box? They are right above your gas pedal.

thanks guys. did you disconnect those cables at the heater box or at the temp controls?
i have fully stripped my interior minus the dash

At the heater box right by the gas pedal is the easiest place to disconnect those. And did you get the one behind the glove box?

Alright i pretty much have it out besides removing the steering wheel to get the dash around the column. I'll have to get a puller tomorrow, no luck tapping it off with a rubber mallet.

When removing the window crank arms is there a C clip on the exterior of the door panel? I was unable to figure out how to remove the crank arms

i believe you have to remove three screws on your steering wheel , to remove the middle section with the horn buttons then there a nut that you have to undo and i used a hammer and tapped it a few times to get it off after the nut was removed good luck

Yes, there should be a C clip on the backside of the window cranks holding them on.
This isn't a Mazda crank, but they're all the same concept. You can see the wire C clip halfway on the backside of the left one here.
