connections

so when i plug in my head unit speaker wires to the amp, i use y connectors as it says.. i plus the rca into the amp all the way and barely get any sound.. i pull it out.. so it is out basically but just enough in so it doesnt fall ( while being still) it plays the music loud... wtf.. the amp is new, just been sittting around.. any possibilities?

So you're running speaker wire out of the head unit into the amp?

You need one of theses if you don't have RCA outputs from the headunit
