I need help. . . I posted on isuzuscene.com but that site is dead compared to this and no response after 2 days. . .
I have a 92 Isuzu Pup. . I wanna take the shifter off so I can make A beer tap one. . But I can't get the shifter off! ! I don't see a lock nut. . Unless its tucked up inside the shifter handle. . And I've twisted the hell out of it and it didnt budge. . Unless it has reverse threads. . . Any ideas? ? Thanks guys! !

pipe wrench, I've had ones that were just that stubborn
wish i could help but have no idea !!
See if there is a C shaped keeper in the bottom. You may see just a bit of it sticking out. Also there may be a set screw hidden under a sticker.

I was usin channel locks and grabbed it at the base and it woud turn almost 90 degrees but would never loosen. . . . Like the whole thing was twistin. . . I didn't wanna break anything important, so I stopped. . . But I'll give her a look. . Maybe try to find a mirror so I can look un under it better. . . And I'll jus twist the hell out of it. . . Haha

im not sure what the isuzu one looks like but ive seen shifters where there is a "cap" on the lower half of it. see if there is a seam where something can be pried down and reveal any set screws.
