so i got further into the hack job of wiring i am dealing with trying to get brake lights until i can get a new full harness in there. turns out one of the wires where cut and seeing as all the wires they messed with is ran in blue wire i am lost.

ok now to the question the wire that runs all the way back is that a negitave? i was told by a buddy that has had problems with lots of his mazdas that i was a negative triger that runs all the way back. so if anyone has a chiltons laying around can they flip threw it real quick for me please

the two wires on the switch are: one is for constant 12+ power, and the other one is a positive that runs to the taillights, if you test that wire with a multi meter or a logic probe, it will show you its a negitive when the brake isnt being pressed, only because, the signal is getting picked up from the taillight bulb which is another story, but it will send 12+volts through the switch to the taillights when you press the brakes
