Running lights help

Hey, I have 2 wires that broke off my steering column. They run alongside the Ignition switch deal.

One wire is green, one wire is red..and when i put the green against metal it blows my interior lights / cd player fuse.

My running lights stopped working when these wires broke off, anyone have any idea how to get them working again , connecting somewhere other than the column?

I connected the 2 together, And now my door buzzer warning works, But the running lights still don't. Maybe i need some kind of a power means going to it? I wonder if i ran my amp-signal wire from my deck to it if they would work?

Yes the RED/BLACK is you 12V or + to your running lights. Is your park light fuse blown? Also your going to need a multimeter to fix this. You can get one at crappy for about $10.

Let me know about the fuse and we'll go from there.
