OK.. I have an 86 b2000 manual windows.. The other day my window crank broke off. So I went and bought the regulator.. I pulled the door apart and found that the front track that the window slides down doesnt connect to anything on the bottom of the door. Whats missing?

I cab get a pic tomorrow... See if I can explain more.. when you roll down your window it slides down on two metal tracks.. one in the front and one in the back.. They connect to the door at the top but arent connected to anything at the bottom of the door.

You said manual windows and your window crank broke off....you shouldnt need a regulator or motor or anything. Nothing is missing.

K let me see if I can explain this.I bought the regulator and when I took my door panel off I found that the tracks that the window slides on didnt seem right. I looked closer and found that there is a metal track in the front of the door and the back of the door.. Which is what the window slides up and down on.. Mine dont connect at the bottom of the door..

The front and rear metal tracks just position your window so it will roll up and down correctly. The window crank attaches to the regulator arm that actually raises and lowers your window. The window should fit into a small u-shaped aluminum piece or channel at the bottom that supports the window when it is raised or lowered. When your crank broke the regulator may have fallen into the bottom of your door frame.

Ok I pulled my passenger door panel so I could compare the two. and on my passenger door the slide that the window slides down is connected to a metal bracket at the bottom of the door. My driver side slide isnt connected at the bottom.
