I think it is easy to do so on your scale lets say 2.5. If you have removed your old window you can reuse the seal (I have done it both ways). Get a piece of nylon rope. It will help with the installation.

I replaced the rear window on my VW convertible, and the truck's will be easier because the truck frame is immoveable. You do use a thin rope, or trimmer line to pull the lip into place from the inside, as helper pushes in from the outside. Look for videos on YouTube. Use liquid detergent or glycerin or silicone spray as lubricant on the seal.

Meh, pretty easy. I got the old seal out in one piece. There's some good write ups and videos on line.

Use plenty of dish washing liquid to lube the seal for installation.

Leave the seal in the sun for a while to soften it up.

Dishwashing liquid, glycerin, KY all water soluble so can be readily washed off.

Vaseline type lubes can cause damage to the seal, and not ready wash off.

I still have my OE seal. It ain't concours perfect, but it'll work fine. There a very thin line of Mazda 1E Bayside Blue paint on the outside edges. Oh, and it's dirty.

$25 shipped. PM if interested.
