Shaved door kits and door locks

If you shave your door handles and have door poppers, do you even need door locks anymore? I was thinking about getting the Spal auto door lock kit, but if I am planning on shaving my doors, do I really need it?

I would think shave them as well what would you need them for you will only be able to gain access to the vehicle with the key fob after it is all shaved
