I've got some eskies i want to put on my 88 extended cab. its lowered 3'' in the front and 4'' in the rear.
I saw something about machining the wheel... or the hub?
Anyone want to clarify on that..

Wicked easy. Did it to my eskies like a week ago. Go get a rabbeting rotor bit ( a good one ) with a 3/8 offset ( i think make sure u double check. ) measure ur tabs across. ( allso the height of them cause u only need to remove enough so the rim sits flush. ) Then measure the hole in the eskies the difference is wut needs to be removed. ( just under 3/8s i think ) then just set ur rotor to a depth and rotor around ( DO NOT TAKE IT ALL IN ONE GO! Bits are ment for wood. Take off to much at once u could destroy a bit ( which i did and it sucks cause there $40!!!!) or ur rotor or more importantly ur rims!) Any ways it honestly tooke me maybe 10 mins a rim once i had figured all my shit out.

They Work great now.

Lazy man's way is cutting the tabs off, which is okay as long as you use hubcentric lugnuts which will centre the wheels on the studs rather than on the tabs you've just cut off.

Having them bored out is the better way, but apparently lots of guys have trouble finding a machine shop that will do it. It's doable by yourself, but easy to eff up a rim if you make a mistake.
