How do i remove those ugly copper like strip things on the rear window i tryed a razor blade but no luck-is there any product that like eats away at metal because they are like a copper or metal type strip?

Also how do i remove and install a rear window?

just pull them off. They are not needed. They don't hold the window in. They are in the groove around the rear wind seal right? I think only the LX's had this. The rear window comes right out. Takes some work pushing the seal from the inside out. To reinstall the old rope trick works excellent.

no, he is talking about the defogger lines. you are talking bout the trim on the outside of the seal.

Well considering that his profile says he is in New Zealand and he is using "demister" instead of "defroster" I would assume that it is very possible he has this on his truck.

Remember the ebay auction for the the Defroster switch... I think someone here was trying to win it before it went for some obscene amout...

You could tint over the back window and not look at it anymore, or replace the whole window... I have never heard of anyone removing it form a window though.
