i was planing to do a decent paint job with a gun but im starting to run low on cash since ive been working on the suspension. i remember crazymikeys post where he painted his truck with rattle cans, i searched but didn't find it. i was thinking of doing this. would i turn out decent enough to take it to a show and as a daily?? im not looking to win any trophies but to me crazymikeys paint job looks like it turned out well. would like some opinions

^^I have done 2 of those paint jobs and they are worth the money, but not worth the time/efffort!

If you want to go cheap and don't have a HVLP and Compressor, you could go with the rattle can, but you can use an Airless HVLP too!

I have used this method a bunch of time and its proven to turn out well for me in the long run as well as not breaking the bank...

Just my two pennies!

Duplicolor has that paint shop system too. 150 for everything you need to paint. crazymikey painted his truck with duplicolor rattlecans, then wetsanded it and cleared it I believe.

if you come across a spray gun you can pick up a gallon of single stage acrylic enamel paint for around 110 -120 with hardner and reducer at your local professional paint store. theres no clear its just "one stage" ive used used it alot and it comes out way better than the 50 or 60 bucks youll spend on spray paint

Shit. Pay maacco or Earl Schieb $250 to throw some color at it. Just don't expect much. That rattle can crap is too much work for me.
