Anyone ever used a baseball bat or a 2" dowl to roll there fender lips? If so how did it turn out?
I did it to my 2wd fenders back in the day. They turned out fine gave me the extra clearance i needed.
I used a baseball bat once....scary as all hell.
So I spent the money and bought one from eastwood...
I wouldn't use a dowl though...not a chance!
If you use the bat, just go VERY slow....

brian if you do bend the lip make sure you cut every inch to prevent warpage here are some pics
lol or as todd did every 2 1/2" lol jp todd
use a dolly and a dolly hammer. take your time and dont try to do one section at a time. roll the whole fender as one little bit by little bit.

Im looking at places that rent the eastwood roller but it only fits 4 and 5 lug patterns
lol i didnt do that markkkkus it was already done
its not hard at all to do with a bat.
have someone you trust either behind the wheel or holding the bat,
your choice. then let the truck roll back slowly while keeping the bat at a good angle, youll know how much pressure to apply and where to keep the bat angled once you start it. if you hear a steady faint crackling of paint youre on the right track, just be sure to not stop mid way or go too fast and youll have some nice new rolled fenders.
