Chrome Front Bar

hey all, im chasing the chrome centrebar for my mazda. is it jsut a chrome cover type thing or have ppl just gone out n got theres chromed. i havent seen them on any australian mazdas n havent ever seen em for sale.

Also has anyone successfully moded/replaced there tailgate hinges so they still work well but stay hidden behind the tailgate without welding the gate closed?
