??Front Crossmember thoughts??

OK so i know its been touched on and a lot of us know that the front crossmember is lower than the rest of the frame (1/2" or so i think)

So i was thinking of using key stock and welding it in after I drag it level with the frame.

Any one have any other ideas or see any problems with my idea
