When i re-drill/retap my hubs..... what rotor and drums do I need to fit?
1987 b2000 2bbl
stock stuff on the front, and just have the drum redrilled to the same pattern
I am re-drilling them to be 5-lug, s-10 pattern. but the s-10 front brake rotors are hub rotor combos....
if your redrillin the stock mazda hub to 5 lug it still uses the stock mazda brake components, the rotors mount to the back of the hub and the caliper mounts to the spindles
unless you already have the wheels or you are getting them at a deal i would just redrill it to a toyota pattern that way you have a wide selection of wheels to choose from
I was thinking of going with the Tacoma pattern. The newer Taco pattern at that. Just wasn't sure if I would need new brake components. I haven't taken the assembly apart yet, was waiting to see what all I would need to buy after getting them drilled and tapped.
i don't know man, there are a lot of wheels for s-10's. the thing you gotta watch for is offset! if you don't have wheels yet look at which has the higher offset, 4 3/4 or 4 1/2. i'd bet its 4 1/2(toyota, ranger, mustang, new acura, mazda car, honda)
i went with 4 1/2 because all ya hear is 'toyota pattern has more wheels available' well i had a hard time finding wheels that would fit right. there's way more chevy wheels that would have fit mine (i narrowed the track width over 4" tho and have a 3" lip on my wheels)
so all i'm saying is check into it first if you can
Just watch when if you do S-10 pattern, cause ALOT of wheels are wrong offset, 2wd S-10s share the same offset with Camaros and most GM Muscle cars back to the 60s, But 93 and newer Camaros and 4wd S-10s have a fwd offset which is about 2-3 inches different
hmmm then i may go with the 4 1/2..... i know the toyo and hondas have a great selection.
