I just bought a 89 b2200. that i will be doing a SPL build in
picture can seen here not baf for 400 bucks
its currently lowered 6 inches in the front 5 in the back.
the audio system stands as this
First i am a member of team sundown audio as well as the florida sales rep.
System will be
64 Sundown Audio E8 8" subs in a ported clamshell box.
Sub amps are 2 SAZ-3000d's on a 16volt system (each amp produces 5400 watts rms at 16v . 2 more will be added at a later date.
mids and highs are yet undecided
electrical i s 1 ohio generator 350amp alternator
and 12 Kinetik 16v batteries.
i will be keeping the build on this truck simple as i can.
phantom grill
rollpan
new suede black paint
i need a camper shell with no side windows (who makes one?)
tweed interior
have integra buckets
as far as the bags go i need to keep intrusion into the bed to as little as possible.
what would be the best rear suspension setup to do this?
also what about the front?
im trying to avoid having to tub into the firewall for the front tires if possible. < can i accomplish this with 18's?
ok as far as the shell your ass out they havent mad windowless shells for these truck for a long time now try posting ads on craigs list for a windowless snug top
as far as bed floor you might wanna consider raising the stock bed floor
and running 18's you are going to have to cut the inner fender wells up front....hope this helps and welcome to the bscene
A 3 link with a raised bed floor would probably be the best for you. No need to tub the firewall with 18s unless your running a pretty large tire. You will need to cut the fenderwells out like todd said. Welcome to the B-scene.
thats alot of stuff to git in the rear of that.......but... it should get down pretty good....i got a windowless topper but it is painted candy green w/ graphics....etc... but it might be available.... where in florida are you ? i am up in jacksonville, fl
IM in ocala about a hour south of you
also to the other poster i cannot raise the whole bedfloor it would be wasting valuable space needed for the box.
i can afford to notch into the bed just want to keep it like 2-3 inches max
why not just raise the floor 3 inches and call it a day
Because that would kill space that i need to use for the sub box. no need in wasting space by raising the whole floor...
the sub box will start at the back of the front seats and stop around 3 feet from the tailgate maybe 2 i still need to design the box. thats the reason i need the topper the box will go from the bed floor to the top of the topper and from the front seats as far back as i need to get my airspace
heres another pic of my truck.
HERES SOME MORE PICS
walk through
walk through
good thing its getting a piece of 14gauge steel for the bed
little bit of a leak lmao
engine shot
you could do a 3-link with behind and under the axle bags with a very small notch similar to a bolt in notch. that should lay it out in the rear with minimal cutting of the bed if any.
could i still tow at all with the 3 link no more than 1000 pounds
