U Joint Failure?

What a signs of u joint failure, I got a new driveshaft from the junkyard and I was just being curious.

Is it like if there stiff or very loose or what, the driveshaft is out of the truck ?

Any help?

Vibration,a distinct "clink" sound when u put truck in gear,a loud whine at highway speed not attributable to tires.BJ

the joints will be dry sounding, and or loose....if the DS is out of the truck replace them...and get spicer ones they will last way longer than other brands.
